Peter trained as a clinical psychologist to consolidate and expand on 25 years experience teaching and counselling ‘at risk’ adolescents residing throughout the Western suburbs of Melbourne. Peter was a school principal/staff welfare and student welfare co-ordinator whilst at Kensington Community High School. This school caters for disadvantaged adolescents (in collaboration with parents, caregivers and agencies) dealing with behavioural difficulties, suicidality, self-harm and trauma, and also other complex dynamics.
Peter is now also practicing in East Bentleigh (see contact).
Peter has also provided professional development to whole school staff focusing on raising awareness of general mental health (staff and students), bullying, and systemic organisational structures responding to difficult adolescent behaviour, emotional intelligence, and promotion of resilience in schools.
Peter is a nationally registered psychologist with AHPRA (Australia Health Practitioner Registration Agency).
